What To Expect

Going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of an uncertain experience. To help avoid any worries, here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Life Church:

When are the service times?

Life Church has three identical worship experiences; at 8:30am, 10:00am, and 11:30am.  Just pick the one that is most convenient for you and stop by.  Each service features excellent programs for children, inspiring music and practical teaching.

When do I arrive?

If you are bringing children we recommend you arrive approximately 20 minutes before the service for check-in.  Once you are here you'll be able to enjoy our complimentary breakfast and coffee bar.

How do I get to Life Church?

Life Church is located on the northbound frontage road to Highway 67 in Midlothian.  Situated just north of the interchange between Highway 67 and Highway 287. We are located directly north of Wal-Mart in Midlothian.

What can I expect on my first visit?

From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll be made to feel at home. Our terrific parking team will direct you as you enter the campus to the nearest parking space available.  Our greeters will be available to give directions or answer any questions you may have.

If you have children, you'll want to take advantage of our safe and secure children's ministry designed just for them, we will need a moment of your time to register your children for a safe drop off and pick up. You can also take advantage of Pre-Registering your kids right now for your first visit and save time Sunday morning. We will also have a prime parking space reserved for you and your favorite coffee drink brewing when you arrive. Your children’s check-in labels will be printed off and waiting for you at the Guest Services counter when you arrive.

We have a fully furnished complimentary coffee bar serving latte's, freshly brewed coffee, juices and water as well as a full continental breakfast in our lobby.

As you walk into the auditorium, our ushers will welcome you and be available to assist you in finding a seat. Enjoy the service and be prepared for a relevant encounter with God.  We place a high priority on worship and we want you to feel free to sing along and engage in worship.

What about my kids?

Kid Life Jr. is our Early-Childhood ministry for children from birth to Pre-K.

Kid Life is our Elementary ministry for children from Kindergarten to 4th grade.

Both Kid Life and Kid Life Jr. meet in the Student Center. While you are in the main auditorium enjoying service, your children will be cared for in a clean, spacious, safe, fun, loving environment by trained volunteers and staff members.

What do I wear?

This is easy.  Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  We are a casual church and accept people as they are. Whether you come as a suited business man or in shorts and flip-flops, that is fine with us.

What do you have for teenagers?

On Wednesday nights at 7 PM, our ministry for 6th-12th grade students called the Awakening opens its doors. Students experience high-energy games, food and refreshments, an engaging worship experience, and a challenging message designed just for their age group. The Awakening strives to create an environment where Everybody's Welcome, Nobody's Perfect, and Anything's Possible. For any other questions, feel free to e-mail Pastor Corey at corey@lifeunusual.com.

Is there anything for adults besides Sunday mornings?

Our goal for every person at Life Church to connect with a smaller group of people that are in a similar phase of life. This happens most naturally at what we like to call Life Groups. Life Groups meet mid-week or on the weekend in homes or restaurants across Ellis County. There is always food, a group of friendly faces, and a discussion that applies the Bible into your daily life.

Other growth opportunities include our Summer Electives, Women’s Bible Studies, Financial Peace University, Divorce Care, and Nights of Worship.

For information on how to join a Life Group, email Pastor Ryan at ryan@lifeunusual.com.

How do I get involved?

Becoming involved is really pretty simple.  We've boiled it down to 4 steps:

  1. Begin attending regularly (you'll get to know people and they will get to know you!)

  2. Attend our Dessert Night and Navigate Life classes (at least once a quarter you'll have an opportunity to jump in and get the behind-the-scenes view of Life Church.)

  3. Become one of our valued volunteers (find a ministry you love and do it!)

  4. Get involved in a Life Group.
